Description

Black with red engraving is the look of the Voodoo VOD43: the forearm carries engraved red drips and an engraved red Voodoo logo, while the butt sleeve shows an engraved candle on top of a red skull, with red and black wax melting off it, along with dots and stars of various sizes. The wrap is black leather, the collar is stainless steel, and the butt plate is stainless steel with the Voodoo logo.

Underneath, the shaft is 29 inch hard rock maple with a 10 to 12 inch pro taper and a 13mm 7-layer leather tip on a 1 inch fiber linen ferrule. A piloted 5/16×18 pin forms the joint, and a Voodoo rubber plug finishes the butt. The cue comes in 18, 19, 20 and 21 oz, with a weight bolt for changing the weight.

Voodoo gives the VOD43 a one-year limited warranty. There is no extension, case or joint protector set included, so players who want a case will need to buy one separately.

Weight & Balance

This model takes a weight-bolt system, so the weight and balance point can be tuned after purchase. Adding weight toward the butt moves the balance rearward for a more planted feel; less weight shifts it forward for a livelier stroke. The balance point on a finished cue usually sits about 18 to 19 inches from the butt.
