The Action IMP66 Impact Cue is a Action playing cue sold by Quarter King Billiards. It has a 5/16X18 joint and a 13.00mm classic wood shaft. It is in stock at $224, with free shipping over $98 and 30-day returns.

Description

The IMP66 is part of Action’s Impact series, a mid-tier playing cue with its own color pairing. On the IMP66, Action pairs a 5/16×18 joint, a 13mm classic wood shaft, a wrapless handle, and your choice of blue or black.

It’s a solid mid-range playing cue for regular league or casual play. The color pairing is really what separates one Impact cue from the next, since the joint and shaft stay consistent. Pricing on the IMP66 lands around $220, and it’s in stock at that price as of now. For reference, the IMP66 falls within Action’s broader lineup of similarly built playing cues at nearby price points.

Outstanding value

Great stick for a beginner. 13mm tip, pretty thick taper – but decent to learn on!

Christmas gift

I bought it as a Christmas gift but the cue is beautiful, felt well made and was perfectly what I wanted.

Very Pleased!

This pool stick was a early fathers day gift for my hubby. It was delivered quickly, packaged awesome, and it has been a great stick. Super easy to use the site. The only criticism would be (in carrying case i didn’t miss it) would be to offer a gift wrap option.

Weight & Balance

This cue is offered in WBACT, Yes. A lighter cue is easier to accelerate for a whippy, spin-friendly stroke; a heavier cue plants more solidly and drives the cue ball with less effort. Most players settle between 19 and 20 ounces.

Questions about this cue

What joint does the Action IMP66 Impact Cue use?

It uses a 5/16X18 joint. That means any 5/16X18 shaft will thread straight onto this butt, so you can add a spare or upgrade later without changing cues. If you are matching a shaft you already own, check its pin against 5/16X18 before ordering — joints are not cross-compatible.

What shaft diameter is the Action IMP66 Impact Cue?

This cue ships with a 13.00mm shaft. Thinner shafts put more spin on the cue ball and feel crisper through the stroke; larger diameters feel fuller and are more forgiving on off-centre hits. Neither is better — it comes down to how you like the cue to hit.

Is this a carbon fiber or wood shaft cue?

The Action IMP66 Impact Cue comes with a Classic Wood shaft. Carbon fiber will not warp, ignores humidity and deflects less; quality maple gives the traditional feel a lot of players still prefer. Both play at a high level, so pick the one that matches how you want the cue to feel.

What is the Action IMP66 Impact Cue built for?

It is set up as a playing cue. Playing cues are balanced for control on shot-making, break cues are heavier with a harder tip for power transfer, and jump cues are short and light to get the cue ball airborne. Using the right one also protects your playing cue from break wear.

What kind of grip does it have?

The grip is wrapless. Irish linen wicks sweat and stays tacky, leather is plush and premium, and a no-wrap finish is fast and needs no maintenance. If your hands run warm, linen is usually the safer pick.

Is Quarter King an authorized Action dealer?

Yes. We are an authorized Action dealer, so this cue is genuine and carries the full manufacturer warranty against warpage and defects in workmanship. Warranty claims go through us — you do not have to deal with the factory yourself.

How fast does it ship, and can I return it?

Shipping is free on orders over $98 in the contiguous US, $5.50 flat otherwise, and you get tracking as soon as it moves. Returns are accepted within 30 days of delivery on unchalked, unused product — contact us first for a return authorization so it is credited without delay.
