Outstanding except that…

The wrap has a seam. Otherwise it’s terrific. I like the hardness of the tip (twss). It’s not super hard, and prompts a great jump. The shaft does have a noticable ding towards the tip, which sucks. First shaft I’ve ever recieved from a retailer with a ding. :/ Can’t give it 3.5, so 4 it is.

Great

To be frank, love this cue. It breaks excellent its jumps pretty decent (still new to jumping since APA doesn’t allow jumping with a specific jump cue) Its tremendously helped my breaks and allowed me to pull back on power for more accuracy and still get a terrific spread. Had a little issue with UPS and tracking the package. That’s the only reason it got 4 instead of 5 stars.

The McDermitt NG08 stinger jump break pool cue by far is the best break cue stick I’ve ever had the pleasure to own. It has a solid head and I am pocketing more balls than I have in the past and that is truly important to my game right now I’ve let some friends actually Use the break cue stick and they thought very highly of it I couldn’t be happier

Great Breaking Pool cue

I really enjoy this cue for breaking. It really scatters the balls around. I have yet to try the jumping off it since i am new to it. I love the sports grip on the cue stick feels nice. The people on my team really am impressed by the feel of it. Only down side is that I wish the website would give you the option to do metal on metal joint instead of just the standard metal pin to wood threads. Otherwise the breaking/jumping pool cue is pretty nice. Would adore to have the sports grip on my shooting cue!

Break for the win

Feels terrific in the hand

Feels great in the hand and the easy detachment of the rear section turns this into a great jump cue to boot. Would say that the sports wrap is an acquired taste but definately preferable in my opinion to a linen wrap or any non wrap bar cue.

A great jump/break stick for the price

Robust breaker for the money. I am partial to a wood to wood joint, and the feel of the hit is extremely smooth and natural. QR on the jumper is also super silky and feels great. I was a little skeptical about the sport grip, but it feels good in the hand and doesn’t deter from the overall aesthetic of the stick. It may have some issues fitting into some cases because of the inherent tackiness of the grip rubber and the fact that many cases have felt in the tubes, so be aware of that. I have an older model 2×4 Predator Sport case, and had to swap my shooting cue stick butt around to the other side because the breaker wouldn’t fit. Apart from that one minor issue, this is a wonderful jump break cue stick, and epitomizes McDermott craftsmanship.

Good Breaking Pool cue

The grip is stellar. I ordered a 21 oz but plan to add extra weight. I’m still getting use to the hard tip. Even when using a lot of chalk I still miscued a couple of times. Although every time I struck a break sturdy the balls scattered and the sound was like thunder. I have not yet tried to jump a ball yet so can not comment. I do really like this stick and think it will be a great asset to my game and save the tip from my playing stick.

My Stinger is Awesome!

Great cue for its’ intended purpose. It feels like I have control when I jump a ball, not like the competitor brands with a phenolic tip, I would miscue so much with them, I ended up selling those jump and break cues to order the Stinger. It just simply feels like an overall solid cue that I can trust to get the job done. 🙂

10/10 break cue

My break has required so much less effort since I got my break cue stick. The grip feels extremely comfortable with the hexagon pattern helping with slip resistance when you pocket the cue stick ball. I look forward to learning how to jump with this stick!

Wonderful Breaker for all

From my perspective, i have played a few matches with this breaker and am definitely happy with the purchase. I adore the grip! The only place to shop for pool equipment

Was gonna order a breaker from another company but the customer service was awful and I wanted to speak to someone knowledgeable. Weight changing tool

I bought the McDermott NG08 Stinger Break / Jump Cue for my fiancé’ and she loves it. I do have a question. How to a change the weights because it seems like there is a special tool to take the weight out because the depth they are installed. A standard Allen Wrench will not reach. Thank you. If anyone knows where I can purchase this tool, please let me know.
