The Griffin GR24 Cue is a Griffin playing cue sold by Quarter King Billiards. It has a 5/16X18 Piloted joint and a 13.00mm classic wood shaft. It lists at $287, with free shipping over $98 and 30-day returns.

Description

The Griffin GR24 pairs a white body with grey accents, a lighter look than most of the cues in this lineup, built on the standard Griffin platform of a 13mm wood shaft, 5/16×18 piloted joint, and linen wrap. That wrap is worth calling out on a white cue in particular, since linen holds up to hand oils and chalk better than a bare finish would over time. Like its siblings, weight is chosen at checkout. The GR24 is currently out of stock, so expect a wait if you specifically want this white and grey colorway.

  1. Sam B. –

    Quite firm hitting cue

Truthfully, bought mine from a local shop but this is the stick and it’s very sturdy with a well-built feeling hit to it. I’ve used it to do both breaking and shooting and aside from additional maintenance on the tip due to breaking, it’s held up superb! Changed the tip to a hard one (just hard, not a break style tip) for much less maintenance.

  2. Chris R. –

    The Griffin stick

The weight bolt way to far down had to make a special wench to adjust it to the back for better balance. Other than that superb cue!

    Griffin GR24

To be frank, i bought this stick on a friends recommendation. Got it in and used it for the first time last Friday evening at a friends house on their table. I really started shooting better and absolutely appreciate it. Thanks Pool Dawg for getting it delivered quickly.

    Griffin GR24 Pool Stick

Aside from a small blemish(a black stain on the butt over one of the overlaids) on the finish, I like the cue. It’s well balanced. It’s comfortable and delivers a robust hit.

  5. Rick K. –

    Great pool cue

Just as described. Amazing for beginner/intermediate skill levels.

  6. Jen H. –

Wonderful cue for a great value

Such a great cue for the cost. Balanced just right. The wrap I put on was flawless too. It hits very nicely and I get the english I want to perfection. Would definitely endorse this cue stick

  7. Taylor K. –

Weight & Balance

This cue is offered in WBACT, Yes. A lighter cue is easier to accelerate for a whippy, spin-friendly stroke; a heavier cue plants more solidly and drives the cue ball with less effort. Most players settle between 19 and 20 ounces.

Questions about this cue

What joint does the Griffin GR24 Cue use?

It uses a 5/16X18 Piloted joint. That means any 5/16X18 Piloted shaft will thread straight onto this butt, so you can add a spare or upgrade later without changing cues. If you are matching a shaft you already own, check its pin against 5/16X18 Piloted before ordering — joints are not cross-compatible.

What shaft diameter is the Griffin GR24 Cue?

This cue ships with a 13.00mm shaft. Thinner shafts put more spin on the cue ball and feel crisper through the stroke; larger diameters feel fuller and are more forgiving on off-centre hits. Neither is better — it comes down to how you like the cue to hit.

Is this a carbon fiber or wood shaft cue?

The Griffin GR24 Cue comes with a Classic Wood shaft. Carbon fiber will not warp, ignores humidity and deflects less; quality maple gives the traditional feel a lot of players still prefer. Both play at a high level, so pick the one that matches how you want the cue to feel.

What is the Griffin GR24 Cue built for?

It is set up as a playing cue. Playing cues are balanced for control on shot-making, break cues are heavier with a harder tip for power transfer, and jump cues are short and light to get the cue ball airborne. Using the right one also protects your playing cue from break wear.

What kind of grip does it have?

The grip is linen wrap. Irish linen wicks sweat and stays tacky, leather is plush and premium, and a no-wrap finish is fast and needs no maintenance. If your hands run warm, linen is usually the safer pick.

Is Quarter King an authorized Griffin dealer?

Yes. We are an authorized Griffin dealer, so this cue is genuine and carries the full manufacturer warranty against warpage and defects in workmanship. Warranty claims go through us — you do not have to deal with the factory yourself.

How fast does it ship, and can I return it?

Shipping is free on orders over $98 in the contiguous US, $5.50 flat otherwise, and you get tracking as soon as it moves. Returns are accepted within 30 days of delivery on unchalked, unused product — contact us first for a return authorization so it is credited without delay.

Compatible Shafts

This cue uses a 5/16X18 Piloted joint, so these shafts thread straight onto it. Not sure? Send us the cue and we will confirm the fit before you buy.
