Quarter King carries 15 Summit pool cues, priced from about $290 to about $450 across two build families: a Classic Wood series and a Carbon Fiber series that includes three dedicated break cues. Below is a plain breakdown of what each family is built from, a full spec table by model, and where the joint and shaft choices line up with our joint-type and shaft-size pages. For Summit's shafts, glove, and tip tool, see the Summit brand page.
Every item is brand new and 100% genuine, backed by its full manufacturer warranty. Free shipping on orders over $98 (contiguous US) and 30-day returns. Every spec on this page is checked against the manufacturer's published data by our Wilmington, NC store team.
Summit is a production, two-piece cue line built by material rather than by named series: a Classic
Wood family and a Carbon Fiber family, the newer of the two. Quarter King carries 15 Summit cues in
total, priced from about $290 for the Classic Wood models up to about $450 for any Carbon Fiber model,
playing or break cue. Nine cues are Classic Wood and six are Carbon Fiber, three of those six built
specifically for breaking rather than playing.
Stock moves by family rather than evenly across the shelf. All nine Classic Wood cues are currently
out of stock; the Carbon Fiber family is split, four of its six cues in stock and two temporarily out.
Availability changes as new stock arrives, so a cue shown out of stock today may return, and the
individual product page is always the most current source for that model's status. For Summit's shafts,
a bridge glove, and a metal tip tool, none of which are pool cues, see the full range on the
Summit brand page.
The two families also represent two different points in Summit's catalog. The Classic Wood cues have
carried the brand longer and share one joint and shaft spec across all nine numbered models, SUML09
through SUML17. The Carbon Fiber cues are a more recent addition, built on a full carbon fiber blank
rather than a shaft-and-forearm wood construction, and they are the only Summit cues currently offered
in a dedicated break-cue configuration.
Every Summit cue is built around the same three parts that shape how it plays: the joint, the shaft,
and the wrap. The Classic Wood cues use a 3/8x10 joint, a common two-piece joint standard, paired with a
12.50mm classic wood shaft, the traditional maple-style build most players learn on. The Carbon Fiber
cues use a Uni-Loc joint instead, a quick-release pin common on composite-shaft cues, paired with a
carbon fiber shaft rather than wood.
Wrap material is the other visible difference. Eight of the nine Classic Wood cues use a leather wrap
for grip, while one, SUML17, is wrapless. All six Carbon Fiber cues are wrapless, letting the carbon
weave pattern run the full length of the forearm without a wrap interrupting it. On the three break
cues, that same wrapless carbon build pairs with a wider 13.75mm shaft rather than the 12.40mm shaft
used on the three Carbon Fiber playing cues, since a break cue is built to transfer more force into the
rack rather than to feel light for finesse shots. For a plain-language explanation of what a joint pin,
shaft taper, or wrap style changes about feel and control, see our glossary.

The Classic Wood family covers nine numbered models, SUML09 through SUML17, all sharing the same
3/8x10 joint and 12.50mm shaft. Six of the nine are actively priced at about $290; the remaining three,
SUML09 through SUML11, are currently listed without a set price while out of stock. Color choice is the
main way these models differ: nine colorways across the family, including black, red, blue, purple,
gold, yellow, pink, white, and green, most paired two or three to a model. SUML09 pairs black, red, and
white; SUML10 pairs white and purple; SUML11 pairs black, gold, and yellow; SUML12 pairs black, red, and
pink; SUML13 and SUML15 both pair blue and black; SUML14 is red only; SUML16 pairs black and yellow; and
SUML17, the one wrapless model in the family, pairs blue and green. All nine share the leather-wrap
build except SUML17, and all nine are currently out of stock, so check back or contact us for
availability if a specific colorway is what you are after.
The Carbon Fiber family covers six models at about $450 each. Three, SUML18 through SUML20, are
playing cues on a 12.40mm shaft in blue, red, or green over a black base. The other three, SUML21
through SUML23, are dedicated break cues on a
wider 13.75mm break-taper shaft built for the shock of a full-power break rather than everyday play. The
manufacturer's own site lists a separate break-specific line alongside its playing and shaft ranges,
which matches how these three models are built differently from SUML18 through SUML20.
The 15 Summit cues split into exactly two joint and shaft combinations. The nine Classic Wood cues
run a 3/8x10 joint with a 12.50mm
classic wood shaft, a joint standard used across a large share of
production cues, so a spare shaft or joint protector sized for 3/8x10 will fit any of them. The six
Carbon Fiber cues run a Uni-Loc joint with a
carbon fiber shaft, either
12.40mm for the playing cues or
13.75mm for the break cues.
If you already own a Summit cue and want a spare or a different shaft, Quarter King's
shafts category carries Summit's own carbon fiber and Kielwood
options, some of which are offered with more than one pin so they can go on other Uni-Loc, 5/16x18, or
3/8x10 cues too. A 3/8x10 joint protector or hard case built for that pin size will fit any of the nine
Classic Wood cues, and a Uni-Loc-sized protector or case will fit any of the six Carbon Fiber cues,
including the three break cues, since all six share the same joint standard despite the shaft size
difference. Full shaft details, along with Summit's glove and tip tool, are on the
Summit brand page rather than this cue-only category.
Summit's Classic Wood cues suit a player moving up from a house cue and wanting a straightforward,
leather-wrapped two-piece stick without custom prices. The Carbon Fiber cues suit a player who wants a
composite shaft's stiffer, lower-deflection feel and is comfortable with a wrapless grip, while the
three break cues in that family are built specifically for players who want a dedicated breaking stick
rather than a dual-purpose cue. One widely cited AZBilliards cue-buying guide places gear at this price
point in its lowest budget bracket, roughly $100 to $190 for a bare cue, which is the territory the
Classic Wood family sits in before shipping and any current sale pricing.
Independent commentary on the playing cues themselves is limited online, in part because a separate,
unrelated custom cue maker also uses the Summit name and dominates search results under it. Our own
build data is the most current source for what these specific cues are made of: a fixed joint and shaft
combination per family, with color rather than spec as the main way individual models differ. If you
want player feedback before buying, the more useful discussion we found on the AZBilliards forums covers
Summit's Pro LD replacement shaft rather than these complete cues; that shaft is stocked separately on
the Summit brand page.
Our own Summit cue listings do not carry a published warranty term the way some higher-tier brands
do, and the manufacturer's site does not list one either. If warranty coverage is important to your
decision, check the individual product listing or contact us before you buy, since we would rather
confirm current terms than guess. Expect production-level construction at this price: solid, functional
hardware rather than a hand-fit custom build. Because both families share one joint and shaft spec
across their respective cues, replacement parts and repairs are more straightforward than they would be
on a lineup with many different pin sizes to track.
For
cues from other production brands at a similar price, browse the full
pool cues shelf. If you are choosing between the two Summit
families, the practical difference comes down to feel and finish: a traditional wood shaft and leather
grip on the Classic Wood side, or a stiffer carbon fiber build with a wrapless finish, including a
dedicated break option, on the Carbon Fiber side.
Summit is a third Cuestix International house brand, grouped on Cuestix's own site under "CueStix Brand Pool Cues" alongside Outlaw and Eight Ball Mafia. Unlike its Cuestix siblings, Summit is positioned specifically as a low-deflection value line: PoolDawg markets it as "peak performance, base prices," built around a "Pro-LD" low-deflection shaft using a AAA-grade hard rock maple outer core, an ultra-light hollowed inner core, an XTC lightweight ferrule, and a Kamui Original Clear Soft tip in 11.5mm or 12.5mm. Summit also sells forward-weighted, all-carbon-fiber cues and a dedicated carbon-fiber break shaft. Prices run roughly $224-$449 for cues and shafts. It's aimed at league players and anyone who wants genuine low-deflection performance without paying flagship-brand prices.
We currently stock 6 Summit items, from $449 to $449.
Summit's carbon fibre range covers forward-balanced playing and break cues, matching Cuestix's existing Summit lineup and already live as a category on our site. It's built to bring carbon-fibre consistency to a lower price…
About 100% of the Summit cues we stock use the Uni-Loc joint. The joint is what decides shaft fitment — thread and face both have to match, so a shaft cut for a different pin will not thread on no matter how good it is.

Summit is a brand of Cuestix International. Summit is one of several house cue brands sold by Cuestix International, a billiards distributor; it is not an independently run cue manufacturer, though it is positioned and marketed differently from Cuestix's other house brands as a low-deflection performance value line.

If you like where Summit sits on price but want to compare before you commit, these land in the same range:
The joint is what decides whether a shaft fits, and every cue in Summit Cues uses the Uni-Loc pin. That is the same Uni-Loc pin used across K2, Lucasi, Predator and Spartan, so shafts move between them — always confirm the exact pin before buying.
15, split between a nine-cue Classic Wood family priced at about $290 and a six-cue Carbon Fiber family priced at about $450, three of which are dedicated break cues.
Classic Wood cues use a 3/8x10 joint, a 12.50mm wood shaft, and mostly a leather wrap. Carbon Fiber cues use a Uni-Loc joint, a carbon fiber shaft, and no wrap.
Yes. The three break cues, SUML21 through SUML23, share the Carbon Fiber family's Uni-Loc joint but step up to a wider 13.75mm break-taper shaft built for full-power breaking rather than everyday play.
Four of the six Carbon Fiber cues, SUML20 through SUML23, are in stock. All nine Classic Wood cues and two Carbon Fiber models, SUML18 and SUML19, are temporarily out.
No. This page covers Summit pool cues only. Summit's replacement shafts, glove, and tip tool are on the Summit brand page; Quarter King does not currently list a Summit-branded case.
