Description

The 19 oz Athena ATH47 sits in the middle of the five weights offered for the model. Its birdseye maple forearm and butt sleeve carry a peacock design, and the grip is a black Irish linen wrap.

Under the finish are a hard rock maple shaft with a 10 to 12 inch pro taper, a 1 inch fiber linen ferrule and a 12.5mm tip built from seven vacuum sealed boar skin layers. The joint is a piloted 5/16×18 pin, with a stainless steel collar that has black and silver accents. A black butt plate with a silver Athena logo and an Athena plug bumper complete the butt.

Weight can be changed through the weight bolt. The cue comes with an extension but without a case or joint protectors, under a limited one year manufacturer warranty. As with any weight choice, it comes down to what feels right in your own stroke.
