The Cuetec CT120NW X-Amber SERIES CUE - No Wrap is a Cuetec playing cue sold by Quarter King Billiards. It comes in 11.80mm and 12.50mm tip sizes with a 3/8 x 14 joint. It is in stock at $1,389, with free shipping over $98 and 30-day returns.

Description

The Cuetec CT120NW is a wrapless playing cue from the Cynergy X family, with a black carbon fiber composite forearm and no wood anywhere in the body. Cuetec builds the X body from 12 composite layers of carbon fiber around a closed-cell foam fill, seals it with Clear-Tec X epoxy and caps it with a triplex carbon fiber and alloy Matrix butt plate and joint collar. The handle has no wrap, and the bumper is black rubber.

Two shaft sizes are available, 11.8mm and 12.5mm. Both are 29 inch Cynergy carbon composite shafts with a thin white sighting ferrule and a soft laminated Tiger Sniper tip, and both thread onto a 3/8×14 Cuetec joint (21.30mm). The 11.8mm is the slimmer option and the 12.5mm is the larger one.

Standard weight is 19 oz, adjustable in 0.25 oz increments, and the Acueweight Generation II system uses spacers to move the balance point. A weight bias balancer calibrates each cue to within 0.20 oz during construction. Joint protectors are included, an extension is not, and Cuetec’s limited warranty applies.

  1. Steve F. –

    Best stick I’ve owned

One of the superior cues I’ve owned. Quite solid contact and consistent play. I did opt to have it retipped with the how titan and I don’t regret it.

  2. Amy K. –

Great cue stick fantastic customer service!

I absolutely love this cue! It is gorgeous, and I am thrilled with that I get feedback throughout the entire cue on every hit. I’m stroking with more confidence on every shot. Customer service was fantastic in helping to get my cue to me, and I couldn’t be happier. I may not ever buy another cue, but I will absolutely do business with PoolDawg again.

Weight & Balance

This cue is offered in Cuetec Acueweight Gen II, Yes. A lighter cue is easier to accelerate for a whippy, spin-friendly stroke; a heavier cue plants more solidly and drives the cue ball with less effort. Most players settle between 19 and 20 ounces.

Questions about this cue

What joint does the Cuetec CT120NW X-Amber SERIES CUE - No Wrap use?

It uses a 3/8 x 14 joint. That means any 3/8 x 14 shaft will thread straight onto this butt, so you can add a spare or upgrade later without changing cues. If you are matching a shaft you already own, check its pin against 3/8 x 14 before ordering — joints are not cross-compatible.

What shaft diameter is the Cuetec CT120NW X-Amber SERIES CUE - No Wrap?

This cue ships with a 11.80mm, 12.50mm shaft. Thinner shafts put more spin on the cue ball and feel crisper through the stroke; larger diameters feel fuller and are more forgiving on off-centre hits. Neither is better — it comes down to how you like the cue to hit.

Is this a carbon fiber or wood shaft cue?

The Cuetec CT120NW X-Amber SERIES CUE - No Wrap comes with a Carbon Fiber shaft. Carbon fiber will not warp, ignores humidity and deflects less; quality maple gives the traditional feel a lot of players still prefer. Both play at a high level, so pick the one that matches how you want the cue to feel.

What is the Cuetec CT120NW X-Amber SERIES CUE - No Wrap built for?

It is set up as a playing cue. Playing cues are balanced for control on shot-making, break cues are heavier with a harder tip for power transfer, and jump cues are short and light to get the cue ball airborne. Using the right one also protects your playing cue from break wear.

Is Quarter King an authorized Cuetec dealer?

Yes. We are an authorized Cuetec dealer, so this cue is genuine and carries the full manufacturer warranty against warpage and defects in workmanship. Warranty claims go through us — you do not have to deal with the factory yourself.

How fast does it ship, and can I return it?

Shipping is free on orders over $98 in the contiguous US, $5.50 flat otherwise, and you get tracking as soon as it moves. Returns are accepted within 30 days of delivery on unchalked, unused product — contact us first for a return authorization so it is credited without delay. Because this one is over $600, a 10% restocking fee applies to the return.

Compatible Shafts

This cue uses a 3/8X14 joint, so these shafts thread straight onto it. Not sure? Send us the cue and we will confirm the fit before you buy.
