The Pechauer JP25R08 Pro Series Cue is a Pechauer playing cue sold by Quarter King Billiards. It has a classic wood shaft. It lists at $603, with free shipping over $98 and 30-day returns.

Description

The Pechauer JP25R08 mixes no-stain figured maple with bocote. Bocote and maple points, framed in ebony-toned material, sit in the forearm, the butt sleeve is bocote, and there is no linen or leather wrap. A black Juma collar and a black butt plate with the Pechauer logo complete it.

The build is a piloted Pechauer Speed Joint, a 29-inch hard rock maple shaft, a 10-12 inch Pro Taper, a 12.75mm Pechauer Jade Medium tip, a 5/8 inch Juma ferrule and a black rubber bumper.

Pechauer’s standard cue weight is 19 oz, and the weight bolt (type WBPEC) is changeable. The cue is made in the USA with a lifetime warranty that excludes wear items such as the tip, finish and wrap. An extension, case and joint protectors are not included. Pechauer’s own model name for it is P08-R.

Weight & Balance

This model takes a weight-bolt system, so the weight and balance point can be tuned after purchase. Adding weight toward the butt moves the balance rearward for a more planted feel; less weight shifts it forward for a livelier stroke. The balance point on a finished cue usually sits about 18 to 19 inches from the butt.

The Pechauer JP25R08 Pro Series Cue comes with a Classic Wood shaft. Carbon fiber will not warp, ignores humidity and deflects less; quality maple gives the traditional feel a lot of players still prefer. Both play at a high level, so pick the one that matches how you want the cue to feel.
