Description

Smoke-stained figured maple, points framed in simulated ebony and pearl diamonds make up the forearm of the Pechauer JP25R09, and the butt sleeve carries the same pattern. There is no wrap, a stainless steel collar sits at the joint, and the butt plate is black with the Pechauer logo.

A piloted Pechauer Speed Joint connects the 29-inch hard rock maple shaft, which has a 10-12 inch Pro Taper, to the butt. The tip is a 12.75mm Pechauer Jade Medium, the ferrule is 5/8 inch Juma, and the bumper is black rubber.

Pechauer’s standard weight is 19 oz and the weight bolt (type WBPEC) can be changed. The cue is made in the USA with a lifetime warranty, and it does not include an extension, case or joint protectors. The Pro Series is described by Pechauer as hand signed by Joseph Pechauer.

This model takes a weight-bolt system, so the weight and balance point can be tuned after purchase. Adding weight toward the butt moves the balance rearward for a more planted feel; less weight shifts it forward for a livelier stroke. The Pechauer JP25R09 Pro Series Cue comes with a Classic Wood shaft. Carbon fiber will not warp, ignores humidity and deflects less; quality maple gives the traditional feel a lot of players still prefer. Both play at a high level, so pick the one that matches how you want the cue to feel.
