The Rage Heavy Hitter 25 oz Jump/Break Cue - Matte Black is a Rage break, jump cue sold by Quarter King Billiards. It has a Double Turbo Lock Quick Release joint and a 13.00mm classic wood shaft. It is in stock at $169, with free shipping over $98 and 30-day returns.

Description

The Rage Heavy Hitter is built as a dedicated jump and break cue rather than a converted playing cue, and its three-piece construction reflects that job. Hard Rock Maple runs through all three sections, joined by double Turbo-Lock quick-release joints that let you swap between a full-length break cue and a shorter jump section in seconds. At 25 ounces it carries real mass for driving through a rack, and the matte black finish keeps the look plain and functional rather than decorative. There is no wrap on the handle, just bare wood, which is typical for a cue built around powering through a break rather than long, comfortable sessions at the table. In stock now at about $170, it is a reasonable pick for anyone who wants a purpose-built breaker instead of leaning on their playing cue for that job.

Questions about this cue

What joint does the Rage Heavy Hitter 25 oz Jump/Break Cue - Matte Black use?

It uses a Double Turbo Lock Quick Release joint. That means any Double Turbo Lock Quick Release shaft will thread straight onto this butt, so you can add a spare or upgrade later without changing cues. If you are matching a shaft you already own, check its pin against Double Turbo Lock Quick Release before ordering — joints are not cross-compatible.

What shaft diameter is the Rage Heavy Hitter 25 oz Jump/Break Cue - Matte Black?

This cue ships with a 13.00mm shaft. Thinner shafts put more spin on the cue ball and feel crisper through the stroke; larger diameters feel fuller and are more forgiving on off-centre hits. Neither is better — it comes down to how you like the cue to hit.

Is this a carbon fiber or wood shaft cue?

The Rage Heavy Hitter 25 oz Jump/Break Cue - Matte Black comes with a Classic Wood shaft. Carbon fiber will not warp, ignores humidity and deflects less; quality maple gives the traditional feel a lot of players still prefer. Both play at a high level, so pick the one that matches how you want the cue to feel.

What is the Rage Heavy Hitter 25 oz Jump/Break Cue - Matte Black built for?

It is set up as a break, jump cue. Playing cues are balanced for control on shot-making, break cues are heavier with a harder tip for power transfer, and jump cues are short and light to get the cue ball airborne. Using the right one also protects your playing cue from break wear.

What kind of grip does it have?

The grip is wrapless. Irish linen wicks sweat and stays tacky, leather is plush and premium, and a no-wrap finish is fast and needs no maintenance. If your hands run warm, linen is usually the safer pick.

Is Quarter King an authorized Rage dealer?

Yes. We are an authorized Rage dealer, so this cue is genuine and carries the full manufacturer warranty against warpage and defects in workmanship. Warranty claims go through us — you do not have to deal with the factory yourself.

How fast does it ship, and can I return it?

Shipping is free on orders over $98 in the contiguous US, $5.50 flat otherwise, and you get tracking as soon as it moves. Returns are accepted within 30 days of delivery on unchalked, unused product — contact us first for a return authorization so it is credited without delay.
