Description

The Viking Ovation OV0600 is a strong mid-tier model in Viking’s best-selling Ovation series. Positioned between the entry OV0200 models and the premium OV0800, the OV0600 offers a compelling blend of elevated design and rock-solid playability that makes it one of the most popular choices in the entire Ovation lineup. Viking has been manufacturing pool cues in Madison, Wisconsin since 1965.

The OV0600 features more detailed design work than the lower Ovation numbers, with refined accents and color choices that give it a distinctly upscale feel. It is a cue that rewards the investment — built with the same materials and precision that go into every Viking, but with added design attention that makes it feel special.

  • Hand-selected North American hard rock maple
  • Mid-tier Ovation design with refined details
  • Viking Quick Release stainless steel joint
  • Irish linen wrap for reliable comfort
  • Standard 58-inch length with weight options
  • Made in the USA with lifetime warranty

The Ovation OV0600 is the sweet spot of the series for many players — enough design refinement to feel like a real upgrade, priced where it still feels like a great deal.

Questions about this cue

What joint does the Viking Ovation OV0600 use?

It uses a Viking Quick Release joint. That means any Viking Quick Release shaft will thread straight onto this butt, so you can add a spare or upgrade later without changing cues. If you are matching a shaft you already own, check its pin against Viking Quick Release before ordering — joints are not cross-compatible.

Is this a carbon fiber or wood shaft cue?

The Viking Ovation OV0600 comes with a Classic Wood shaft. Carbon fiber will not warp, ignores humidity and deflects less; quality maple gives the traditional feel a lot of players still prefer. Both play at a high level, so pick the one that matches how you want the cue to feel.

What is the Viking Ovation OV0600 built for?

It is set up as a playing cue. Playing cues are balanced for control on shot-making, break cues are heavier with a harder tip for power transfer, and jump cues are short and light to get the cue ball airborne. Using the right one also protects your playing cue from break wear.

What kind of grip does it have?

The grip is linen wrap. Irish linen wicks sweat and stays tacky, leather is plush and premium, and a no-wrap finish is fast and needs no maintenance. If your hands run warm, linen is usually the safer pick.

Is Quarter King an authorized Viking dealer?

Yes. We are an authorized Viking dealer, so this cue is genuine and carries the full manufacturer warranty against warpage and defects in workmanship. Warranty claims go through us — you do not have to deal with the factory yourself.

How fast does it ship, and can I return it?

Shipping is free on orders over $98 in the contiguous US, $5.50 flat otherwise, and you get tracking as soon as it moves. Returns are accepted within 30 days of delivery on unchalked, unused product — contact us first for a return authorization so it is credited without delay. Because this one is over $600, a 10% restocking fee applies to the return.
