The Viking VIK611 Cue is a Viking playing cue sold by Quarter King Billiards. It has a Viking Quick Release joint and a 13.00mm classic wood shaft. It is in stock at $990, with free shipping over $98 and 30-day returns.

Description

Finished in solid black, the Viking VIK611 belongs to the Defender series, one of the higher-priced collections in this catalog. It runs a 29-inch VIKORE Performance Shaft at 13.00mm in classic wood, a leather-wrapped handle, and the Viking Quick Release joint used across the brand. Leather over black gives this cue a plainer, more understated look than the brown-and-multicolor finish on other Defender models here, which suits a player who wants the series’ upper-tier build without a loud finish. It is in stock now at about $990. Defender buyers will find the same shaft and joint spec across the series, with wrap material and color the main variables between models.

Weight & Balance

This cue is offered in WBVIK, Yes. A lighter cue is easier to accelerate for a whippy, spin-friendly stroke; a heavier cue plants more solidly and drives the cue ball with less effort. Most players settle between 19 and 20 ounces.

Questions about this cue

What joint does the Viking VIK611 Cue use?

It uses a Viking Quick Release joint. That means any Viking Quick Release shaft will thread straight onto this butt, so you can add a spare or upgrade later without changing cues. If you are matching a shaft you already own, check its pin against Viking Quick Release before ordering — joints are not cross-compatible.

What shaft diameter is the Viking VIK611 Cue?

This cue ships with a 13.00mm shaft. Thinner shafts put more spin on the cue ball and feel crisper through the stroke; larger diameters feel fuller and are more forgiving on off-centre hits. Neither is better — it comes down to how you like the cue to hit.

Is this a carbon fiber or wood shaft cue?

The Viking VIK611 Cue comes with a Classic Wood shaft. Carbon fiber will not warp, ignores humidity and deflects less; quality maple gives the traditional feel a lot of players still prefer. Both play at a high level, so pick the one that matches how you want the cue to feel.

What is the Viking VIK611 Cue built for?

It is set up as a playing cue. Playing cues are balanced for control on shot-making, break cues are heavier with a harder tip for power transfer, and jump cues are short and light to get the cue ball airborne. Using the right one also protects your playing cue from break wear.

What kind of grip does it have?

The grip is leather wrap. Irish linen wicks sweat and stays tacky, leather is plush and premium, and a no-wrap finish is fast and needs no maintenance. If your hands run warm, linen is usually the safer pick.

Is Quarter King an authorized Viking dealer?

Yes. We are an authorized Viking dealer, so this cue is genuine and carries the full manufacturer warranty against warpage and defects in workmanship. Warranty claims go through us — you do not have to deal with the factory yourself.

How fast does it ship, and can I return it?

Shipping is free on orders over $98 in the contiguous US, $5.50 flat otherwise, and you get tracking as soon as it moves. Returns are accepted within 30 days of delivery on unchalked, unused product — contact us first for a return authorization so it is credited without delay. Because this one is over $600, a 10% restocking fee applies to the return.

Compatible Shafts

This cue uses a Viking Quick Release joint, so these shafts thread straight onto it. Not sure? Send us the cue and we will confirm the fit before you buy.
