The Eight Ball Mafia EBM16 Cue is a Eight Ball Mafia playing cue sold by Quarter King Billiards. It has a 5/16X18 Piloted joint and a 13.00mm classic wood shaft. It lists at $125, with free shipping over $98 and 30-day returns.

Description

Black and red give the Eight Ball Mafia EBM16 a bolder look than the brand’s single-color entries. It is built the same as the rest of the EBM family, with a 5/16×18 piloted joint, a 13mm Classic Wood shaft, and a linen wrap for grip through the handle. Red and black is a common pairing in the EBM catalog, and this version keeps the same joint and shaft spec as its quieter counterparts. Anyone who likes the darker, high-contrast look but still wants the standard 13mm playing feel should keep this one on a restock list. It is currently out of stock.

Am impressed by the customization

From my perspective, this stick was just what my 11 year old was looking for—he wanted something customizable and loved putting his name on this cue. The design looks great, cue is sturdy, shipment was speedy and well packaged. The 19 inch cue stick is a little long for the size of our room but still a terrific item.

This cue is offered in WBACT, Yes. A lighter cue is easier to accelerate for a whippy, spin-friendly stroke; a heavier cue plants more solidly and drives the cue ball with less effort. Most players settle between 19 and 20 ounces.

Questions about this cue

What joint does the Eight Ball Mafia EBM16 Cue use?

It uses a 5/16X18 Piloted joint. That means any 5/16X18 Piloted shaft will thread straight onto this butt, so you can add a spare or upgrade later without changing cues. If you are matching a shaft you already own, check its pin against 5/16X18 Piloted before ordering — joints are not cross-compatible.

What shaft diameter is the Eight Ball Mafia EBM16 Cue?

This cue ships with a 13.00mm shaft. Thinner shafts put more spin on the cue ball and feel crisper through the stroke; larger diameters feel fuller and are more forgiving on off-centre hits. Neither is better — it comes down to how you like the cue to hit.

Is this a carbon fiber or wood shaft cue?

The Eight Ball Mafia EBM16 Cue comes with a Classic Wood shaft. Carbon fiber will not warp, ignores humidity and deflects less; quality maple gives the traditional feel a lot of players still prefer. Both play at a high level, so pick the one that matches how you want the cue to feel.

What is the Eight Ball Mafia EBM16 Cue built for?

It is set up as a playing cue. Playing cues are balanced for control on shot-making, break cues are heavier with a harder tip for power transfer, and jump cues are short and light to get the cue ball airborne. Using the right one also protects your playing cue from break wear.

What kind of grip does it have?

The grip is linen wrap. Irish linen wicks sweat and stays tacky, leather is plush and premium, and a no-wrap finish is fast and needs no maintenance. If your hands run warm, linen is usually the safer pick.

Is Quarter King an authorized Eight Ball Mafia dealer?

Yes. We are an authorized Eight Ball Mafia dealer, so this cue is genuine and carries the full manufacturer warranty against warpage and defects in workmanship. Warranty claims go through us — you do not have to deal with the factory yourself.

How fast does it ship, and can I return it?

Shipping is free on orders over $98 in the contiguous US, $5.50 flat otherwise, and you get tracking as soon as it moves. Returns are accepted within 30 days of delivery on unchalked, unused product — contact us first for a return authorization so it is credited without delay.
