Description

The Mezz Dual Force ZZDF is a dedicated break and jump cue, built with a 13.00mm classic wood shaft, a full size up from Mezz’s playing-cue shafts, to handle the impact of a hard break without transferring as much of that shock into your hand. It uses the same United joint as most of Mezz’s lineup, so it will thread onto other United joint shafts if you want to mix and match. The wrapless handle, finished in black, silver, and grey, keeps the grip fast and consistent through the stroke, which matters more on a break cue than the cushioning a wrap would add. This is a specialty cue meant to live alongside a playing cue rather than replace one. At about $590, the ZZDF is currently out of stock.

Questions about this cue

What joint does the Mezz ZZDF Dual Force Break/Jump Cue use?

It uses a United joint. That means any United shaft will thread straight onto this butt, so you can add a spare or upgrade later without changing cues. If you are matching a shaft you already own, check its pin against United before ordering — joints are not cross-compatible.

What shaft diameter is the Mezz ZZDF Dual Force Break/Jump Cue?

This cue ships with a 13.00mm shaft. Thinner shafts put more spin on the cue ball and feel crisper through the stroke; larger diameters feel fuller and are more forgiving on off-centre hits. Neither is better — it comes down to how you like the cue to hit.

Is this a carbon fiber or wood shaft cue?

The Mezz ZZDF Dual Force Break/Jump Cue comes with a Classic Wood shaft. Carbon fiber will not warp, ignores humidity and deflects less; quality maple gives the traditional feel a lot of players still prefer. Both play at a high level, so pick the one that matches how you want the cue to feel.

What is the Mezz ZZDF Dual Force Break/Jump Cue built for?

It is set up as a break, jump cue. Playing cues are balanced for control on shot-making, break cues are heavier with a harder tip for power transfer, and jump cues are short and light to get the cue ball airborne. Using the right one also protects your playing cue from break wear.

What kind of grip does it have?

The grip is wrapless. Irish linen wicks sweat and stays tacky, leather is plush and premium, and a no-wrap finish is fast and needs no maintenance. If your hands run warm, linen is usually the safer pick.

Is Quarter King an authorized Mezz dealer?

Yes. We are an authorized Mezz dealer, so this cue is genuine and carries the full manufacturer warranty against warpage and defects in workmanship. Warranty claims go through us — you do not have to deal with the factory yourself.

How fast does it ship, and can I return it?

Shipping is free on orders over $98 in the contiguous US, $5.50 flat otherwise, and you get tracking as soon as it moves. Returns are accepted within 30 days of delivery on unchalked, unused product — contact us first for a return authorization so it is credited without delay.

Compatible Shafts
