The Viking VIK502 Cue is a Viking playing cue sold by Quarter King Billiards. It has a Viking Quick Release joint and a 13.00mm classic wood shaft. It is in stock at $477, with free shipping over $98 and 30-day returns.

Description

The Viking VIK502 carries the Ovation name, one of Viking’s mid-tier collections, in a brown and tan finish. It’s built on a 29-inch ViKORE hard rock maple shaft cut to a 12 to 14-inch pro taper at 13.00mm, wrapped in linen, and joined with Viking’s Quick Release fitting. Ovation is priced a step above Viking’s entry Kayano series, appealing to a player who wants more presence in a production cue without moving into four-figure territory. The VIK502 is in stock now at about $480. Ovation buyers comparing colorways will find the shaft and joint unchanged across the collection, with wood grain and finish marking the real differences.

even better looking than the picture

I have to say, beautiful cue, weight and balance feels great. the included shaft is not the glossed slick finish im used to from custom cues. but does feel and shoot effortless. i also bought the OB-2 shaft with a kamui clear black tip & really enjoy shooting with this. never owned a viking before, im not disappointed.

Precisely what you would expect from viking

Viking makes some great pool cues! This one just so happened to be given to my brother for his birthday present. His first game he played with it he won and same with his second game he says it’s definitely a good deal getting a nicely made pool stick if you like playing the game.

    Handsome & Reliable

Handsome & Reliable kinda like me, This stick is simple and trick, not over the top but a outstanding looking and a straight shooter than you can find. Another Viking cue for my Karve.

    Very Pleased

The cue is gorgeous and preforms extremely well. The PoolDawg staff took the time to remove the cue from its wrapping and put it in the cue case I also ordered, for added protection during shipping. I appreciate the effort. Would order again without hesitation.

Weight & Balance

This cue is offered in WBVIK, Yes. A lighter cue is easier to accelerate for a whippy, spin-friendly stroke; a heavier cue plants more solidly and drives the cue ball with less effort. Most players settle between 19 and 20 ounces.

Questions about this cue

What joint does the Viking VIK502 Cue use?

It uses a Viking Quick Release joint. That means any Viking Quick Release shaft will thread straight onto this butt, so you can add a spare or upgrade later without changing cues. If you are matching a shaft you already own, check its pin against Viking Quick Release before ordering — joints are not cross-compatible.

What shaft diameter is the Viking VIK502 Cue?

This cue ships with a 13.00mm shaft. Thinner shafts put more spin on the cue ball and feel crisper through the stroke; larger diameters feel fuller and are more forgiving on off-centre hits. Neither is better — it comes down to how you like the cue to hit.

Is this a carbon fiber or wood shaft cue?

The Viking VIK502 Cue comes with a Classic Wood shaft. Carbon fiber will not warp, ignores humidity and deflects less; quality maple gives the traditional feel a lot of players still prefer. Both play at a high level, so pick the one that matches how you want the cue to feel.

What is the Viking VIK502 Cue built for?

It is set up as a playing cue. Playing cues are balanced for control on shot-making, break cues are heavier with a harder tip for power transfer, and jump cues are short and light to get the cue ball airborne. Using the right one also protects your playing cue from break wear.

What kind of grip does it have?

The grip is linen wrap. Irish linen wicks sweat and stays tacky, leather is plush and premium, and a no-wrap finish is fast and needs no maintenance. If your hands run warm, linen is usually the safer pick.

Is Quarter King an authorized Viking dealer?

Yes. We are an authorized Viking dealer, so this cue is genuine and carries the full manufacturer warranty against warpage and defects in workmanship. Warranty claims go through us — you do not have to deal with the factory yourself.

How fast does it ship, and can I return it?

Shipping is free on orders over $98 in the contiguous US, $5.50 flat otherwise, and you get tracking as soon as it moves. Returns are accepted within 30 days of delivery on unchalked, unused product — contact us first for a return authorization so it is credited without delay.

Compatible Shafts

This cue uses a Viking Quick Release joint, so these shafts thread straight onto it. Not sure? Send us the cue and we will confirm the fit before you buy.
