This cue is offered in WBOL, Yes. A lighter cue is easier to accelerate for a whippy, spin-friendly stroke; a heavier cue plants more solidly and drives the cue ball with less effort. Most players settle between 19 and 20 ounces.

It uses a Piloted 5/16 x 18 joint. That means any Piloted 5/16 x 18 shaft will thread straight onto this butt, so you can add a spare or upgrade later without changing cues. If you are matching a shaft you already own, check its pin against Piloted 5/16 x 18 before ordering — joints are not cross-compatible.
This cue ships with a 29" hard rock maple, 10 - 12" pro taper with a brass insert shaft. Thinner shafts put more spin on the cue ball and feel crisper through the stroke; larger diameters feel fuller and are more forgiving on off-centre hits. Neither is better — it comes down to how you like the cue to hit.
The Voodoo VOD35 Cue comes with a Classic Wood shaft. Carbon fiber will not warp, ignores humidity and deflects less; quality maple gives the traditional feel a lot of players still prefer. Both play at a high level, so pick the one that matches how you want the cue to feel.
It is set up as a playing cue. Playing cues are balanced for control on shot-making, break cues are heavier with a harder tip for power transfer, and jump cues are short and light to get the cue ball airborne. Using the right one also protects your playing cue from break wear.

This cue uses a 5/16X18 Piloted joint, so these shafts thread straight onto it. Not sure? Send us the cue and we will confirm the fit before you buy.

Extremely nice smooth feel on the shaft of the pool stick, good quality and smooth on the base. The weight seems really sturdy. And on the bottom I didn’t know there was more to the stick in decal, nice added bonus. I love the selection and would vouch for to others looking for a nice pool stick.
