Description

The Voodoo VOD44 pool cue moves out of the Blood colorway and into the Rip series, pairing black with a green accent that stands out from the rest of the lineup. Construction is consistent with the rest of the family: a 13.00mm hard rock maple shaft in Classic Wood, a piloted 5/16×18 joint, and a wrap section, here done in leather rather than linen for a smoother, tackier grip. Leather tends to break in faster than linen and holds up well for players who chalk up often and want less texture transfer to the palm. The VOD44 is in stock now at about $270, a reasonable next step for someone who has used a house cue for a while and wants their own with a bit more color to it.

Questions about this cue

What joint does the Voodoo VOD44 Pool Cue use?

It uses a 5/16X18 Piloted joint. That means any 5/16X18 Piloted shaft will thread straight onto this butt, so you can add a spare or upgrade later without changing cues. If you are matching a shaft you already own, check its pin against 5/16X18 Piloted before ordering — joints are not cross-compatible.

What shaft diameter is the Voodoo VOD44 Pool Cue?

This cue ships with a 13.00mm shaft. Thinner shafts put more spin on the cue ball and feel crisper through the stroke; larger diameters feel fuller and are more forgiving on off-centre hits. Neither is better — it comes down to how you like the cue to hit.

Is this a carbon fiber or wood shaft cue?

The Voodoo VOD44 Pool Cue comes with a Classic Wood shaft. Carbon fiber will not warp, ignores humidity and deflects less; quality maple gives the traditional feel a lot of players still prefer. Both play at a high level, so pick the one that matches how you want the cue to feel.

What is the Voodoo VOD44 Pool Cue built for?

It is set up as a playing cue. Playing cues are balanced for control on shot-making, break cues are heavier with a harder tip for power transfer, and jump cues are short and light to get the cue ball airborne. Using the right one also protects your playing cue from break wear.

What kind of grip does it have?

The grip is leather wrap. Irish linen wicks sweat and stays tacky, leather is plush and premium, and a no-wrap finish is fast and needs no maintenance. If your hands run warm, linen is usually the safer pick.

Is Quarter King an authorized Voodoo dealer?

Yes. We are an authorized Voodoo dealer, so this cue is genuine and carries the full manufacturer warranty against warpage and defects in workmanship. Warranty claims go through us — you do not have to deal with the factory yourself.

How fast does it ship, and can I return it?

Shipping is free on orders over $98 in the contiguous US, $5.50 flat otherwise, and you get tracking as soon as it moves. Returns are accepted within 30 days of delivery on unchalked, unused product — contact us first for a return authorization so it is credited without delay.
